Traumatic brain injury changes lives in an instant. Families often arrive at the ICU overwhelmed, afraid, and unsure of what comes next. At Cheyne’s Brain Foundation, we provide comfort, resources, and a compassionate community to help families navigate those first critical moments and the long journey ahead.

Cheyne’s Brain Foundation was created after our family experienced the sudden and life-changing impact of a TBI. We know how confusing and painful those early hours and days can be. That is why we work to ensure no family faces those moments alone.
We focus on practical support, emotional comfort, and clear information for caregivers, survivors, and hospital teams. Our mission is simple. We help families feel cared for, informed, and supported from the moment their loved one enters the ICU and throughout their recovery.
No one is prepared to get that call… that a family member has been taken to the ICU. Families often arrive suddenly and without essentials. Our Comfort Bags provide carefully selected meaningful items that ease stress and bring a sense of grounding during those first overwhelming hours.
These items help families stay connected, organized, and supported during the most frightening and stressful period of their lives. Each Comfort Bag is a reminder that they are not alone, a hug from us when they need it most.
At Cheyne’s Brain, we’re committed to supporting individuals and families affected by severe traumatic brain injuries. Your support helps provide critical financial, emotional, and rehabilitative resources to those who have nowhere else to turn.
Every gift moves us closer to bridging the gaps in traumatic brain injury care.
Partner with Cheyne’s Brain to fuel innovative recovery efforts, community outreach, and education initiatives for patients and caregivers.
Your time and talents can make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors and their loved ones.

"You don't even know what to ask for when people ask you what you need and they just knew."
"They have thought about everything you can possibly need."
"The blankets and supplies are just what I needed, please thank them for us."
"I've been in several hospitals and never had anything so special, wish I had that when my dad was in the ICU."
We collaborate with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, local businesses, and community organizations who share our commitment to supporting TBI families. Our partners help us reach more families, expand our programs, and strengthen the resources available during the recovery journey.
If your organization or hospital would like to work with us, we welcome meaningful partnerships that improve care and support for survivors and caregivers.
